Red Cross CNA Training

Adults age 18 and older who are interested in training to become Certified Nurse Aides may do so through programs offered by the American Red Cross. The American Red Cross has chapters in every state in the United States, and many of those chapters offer Nurse Assistant, or Certified Nurse Aide, training to help would-be caretakers get a jump start on careers in the healthcare field.  Red Cross CNA Training is top notch!

Programs run by the American Red Cross cost very little to attend and last only a few weeks. During that time, Red Cross CNA Training candidates learn the skills needed to care for patients in their homes, in long-term care facilities, nursing homes, hospice sites and hospitals. Students learn the basics of taking care of patients or clients, including basic life support, nutrition, physical therapy skills, hygiene and more, and are taught how to meet and exceed all state requirements for certification.

Requirements for obtaining Certified Nurse Aide certification are different in every state, so students should contact their closest Red Cross chapter for information on classes and requirements. The American Red Cross has worked hard to tailor its Certified Nurse Aide training program to meet the requirements set by every state in which the organization has a chapter and offers classes.

Red Cross CNA classes are offered in 36 cities throughout the United States, with classes lasting around four weeks and coming at a cost of anywhere from $660 to $1,750, depending on the location. Each site holds classes that meet on different days and at different times. Contact the Red Cross center in each city to discover more information about CNA training.
